Nowadays, TV offers us a multitude of programs to choose from, while sitting comfortably on the couch and drinking our coffee. Today Show is one of those programs that you have to watch before going to work or school. The topics are diverse, ranging from the latest news, current affairs,weather forecast, gossip and trivia, cooking and social activities. Today Show has become a routine for those who have been watching it for a long time. It is something that must not be missed out.

Today Show dates back 50 years ago, when in January 1952 the first telecast was broadcast. Since then, it has become the most popular show among Americans. The current cast includes Matt Lauer, Ann Curry, Natalie Moralesw and Savannah Guthie. The ratings for the Today Show in April 2011 were phenomenal. The show had more than 5 million viewers. Today Show made and continues to make history in television. At first, the show was aired only during weekdays. Later on, NBC decided to go for the full format and broadcast Today Show even on weekends. The strategy proved itself to be a success. Unlike other morning shows, Today Show offers people something different, there are actually many things you can learn from this show. It is both educative and entertaining.

Probably the most famous segment of the Today Show is the cooking one. Every day a celebrity chef comes along and amazes both the cast and the audience with his simple yet spectacular cooking skills, and everybody who is keen on cooking can follow and learn something new on a daily basis. Another segment that has gained popularity is the contest, where people can win prizes and get in touch with the hosts of Today Show. The news is also an important part of the Today Show, since it presents pieces of information both at a national and at an international scale.
